Founded in 2016 by Todd Minoski, Goathead Knives was born from a lifelong passion for craftsmanship and a deep respect for working with one’s hands. Todd’s journey began in a family of craftsmen, coal miners, steelworkers, outdoorsmen, and hunters — people who shaped their lives through skill, grit, and pride in their work.

That legacy ran deep. Todd discovered that his grandparents and great-grandparents had once fashioned their own knives from the materials they had on hand — not for show, but for survival and everyday use. This connection to his roots inspired him to carry on that tradition with a renewed purpose: to create knives that reflect the same integrity, durability, and function that defined generations before him.

Drawing from his background in automotive mechanics, electronics, and engineering within the underground mining industry, Todd combined technical precision with traditional craftsmanship. What began as a personal pursuit soon evolved into a business built on passion, performance, and purpose.
